Etang De Mont Rules

 

Bouxier lake is a private enclosed lake managed by the company REACTANCE represented by M. Evrard de Monspey. Angling is not permitted without written authorisation from this company and only after having paid the full amount due for your reservation. Settlement of this payment includes acceptance of these rules and regulations.
RECEPTION
Toilet and washing facilities are available for your use,
please keep them clean.
Only green or camouflage coloured tents are allowed.
FISHING
• Motor vehicles are not permitted around the lake apart from for the purpose of setting down your fishing tackle and service vehicles.
• Fishing rights are for a maximum of 6 lines per peg for a maximum of 2 anglers.
Your OBLIGATIONS:
• All handling of the fish must be done with the greatest of care,
• For the health of the fish; the fish must not be kept out of the water any longer than is required to take a photo (5 minutes maximum). When taking photos the angler holding the fish must be in a crouched position and not standing up (categorically prohibited),
• Rigs must allow the release of the weight in cases of breaking off and lines must be fitted with sinker weights,
• Only one hook per line. The maximum hook size allowed is n°2 with micro barb or crushed barb and they must be fine wire,
• Hair rigs must be used,
• Baits must be made in proportions and of a quality that will not affect the health of the fish or the water in the lake, seeds must be well-cooked,
• Boilie must be fresh or bio-degradable.
• A damp unhooking mat must be used with a bucket of water kept to hand,
• If there is any visible injury to the fish you must apply an antiseptic eg. Bétadine gel, Clinic etc. Anglers must always have this available.
• Fish in line with the peg which you have been allocated.
PROHIBITED:
• The use of live baits,
• The use of boats (bait boats are authorised),
• The use of pneumatic boilie guns,
• To enter the water beyond knee height (except for returning fish to the lake),
• The use of treble hooks,
• The use of braided line – main line or hook lengths (all braid types are forbidden),
• The use of carp sacks, keep-nets (strictly prohibited) or any other method of conserving the fish,
• Maiming or removing the fish (in accordance with animal protection laws this could lead to criminal prosecution),
• Surplus baits must not be thrown into the lake or left on the banks when you leave,
• Do not return the catfish to the water (classified as pests),
• Never forget: Too much bait kills fishing!
BEHAVIOUR
Your OBLIGATIONS:
• A tent is provided for your use which must be returned clean and in good condition (any damage must be reported),
• Please leave the site clean; put your rubbish into bags and dispose of them in the areas provided for this purpose,
• Cigarette ends must not be disposed of on the ground or in the lake but in the appropriate containers provided,
• The wardens and lake staff must be notified of all visitors – family or friends,
• The movement of vehicles is strictly forbidden once you have set down your fishing tackle, a car park is provided for your use,
• If there is a storm please leave your tent and proceed immediately to reception.
PROHIBITED:
• Ground fires (barbecues are permitted),
• Agressive or noisy dogs,
• The use of all boats (apart from bait boats),
• Leaving rubbish anywhere apart from the areas provided for waste disposal,
• Shining lights towards the water,
• Any drug use and the abuse of alcohol.
COMMITMENTS:
• At any time, the manager or warden responsible for the site can check your right to fish and adherence to the regulations.
• Non-respect of these rules and regulations could lead to the exclusion of the angler according to the seriousness of the fault, without reimbursement.
PS: The site is supervised by three wardens with water baliff status.
• The manager accepts no responsibility for theft, damage or accident on the site.
• All anglers must respect the peaceful nature of the site, the surroundings and the neighbours.
• The site is locked between 8pm and 8am.
